Appointments System

Ring our Appointments number on (01562) 822647 to book an appointment.

If your condition is non-urgent you can expect to see a GP within two working days, though you may have to wait longer if you request a particular GP.

Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. Our Nurse Prescriber is qualified to prescribe from a range of medicines.

Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen. We can give you a longer appointment if necessary.

You can ask to have telephone advice from a health care professional.

Emergencies will always be seen by a health care professional, on the same day. Please remember this is for genuine emergencies only.  The practice will do all it reasonably can to provide effective health care for all its patients.

Extended Practice Opening Hours

In addition to the practice’s normal opening hours, you can also book an appointment on a Tuesday evening between 18:30 and 20:00.

These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during usual opening hours.

Improved Access Appointments – Evenings and Weekends

You can now also book an Improved Access appointment after 18:30 Monday to Friday evenings, or Saturday and Sunday mornings at locations across the Wyre Forest.

GP practices in the Wyre Forest are working together to provide Improved Access appointments to patients.

Please note you may be seen at Hume Street Medical Centre by a different GP from another practice.

Home Visits

It is important to request a home visit before 10:00 am and only when the patient is too ill to attend the Practice. You may initially receive a telephone consultation from the doctor who will discuss your symptoms with you before deciding if they need to visit.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.

Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.
